Inhalex Respules (Ambroxol)
Inhalex 15 mg Respules (Ambroxol) belongs to a class of drugs called expectorants (aid expulsion of mucus as cough) or mucolytic (liquefy and loosen mucus). It works by liquefying and loosening thick mucus that can be coughed out easily. It helps in the production of a chemical called surfactant. Surfactant doesn’t let the mucus to get stuck to the walls of airways and is easily coughed out.
Uses
Inhalex Respules is used in the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Inhalex 15 mg Respules is a mucolytic agent which reduces the thickness of the sputum. It is used to treat conditions with abnormal mucus secretion, allowing the patient to breathe freely and deeply.
This drug is also used to treat different forms of inflammatory pulmonary conditions, bronchitis, bronchospasm asthma and pneumoconiosis. In case of acute bronchitis, Ambroxol should be paired with necessary antibiotics.

Contraindications
There are no absolute contraindications but in patients with gastric ulceration relative caution should be observed
Common Side effects
Occasional gastrointestinal side effects may occur but these are normally mild.
Precautions
Take the following precautions or be careful about the following while consuming Inhalex Respules:
• Avoid taking drugs that suppress cough
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
• If you have a history of severe Allergic reactions of skin
• If you have severe liver or kidney problems
Dosage Of Ambroxol
Adults: daily dose of 30 mg (one Ambroxol tablet ) to 120 mg (4 Ambroxol tablets) taken in 2 to 3 divided doses
Children up to 2 years: half a teaspoonful Ambroxol syrup twice daily
Children 2 ? 5 years: half a teaspoonful Ambroxol syrup 3 times daily
Children over 5 years: One teaspoonful Ambroxol syrup 2-3 times daily.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees celsius.
Keep all medicine out of reach of children.
